GPS Speedometer HUD (com.pando.gpsspeedometerhud) — Updated 10 October 2026

1. Overview

This free Android speedometer is published by Pando / Stronghealth. It uses your phone's satellite positioning receiver to estimate speed and distance, provides a mirrored HUD reading and shows a summary when a trip finishes. No account or sign-up is needed. Speed and trip calculations work on your device; advertising and optional feedback use the external services described below.

2. Location and trip measurements

The app requests foreground precise and approximate location permission to calculate speed and distance. It does not request background location or use a location foreground service. Your coordinates, current speed, GPS accuracy and trip measurements are not transmitted to Pando or automatically included in feedback.

Location fixes are processed in memory to estimate the current trip. The app does not save a route or coordinate history. Running distance, top speed, duration and the most recent trip summary are temporary session data; they are not a persistent trip log. Satellite readings can be unavailable or inaccurate, and this is not a certified speedometer. Prepare the app before setting off and do not operate it while driving.

3. Local preferences

Your speed-unit choice, language preference and counters limiting advertising frequency are kept in local app storage. They are not automatically attached to feedback. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local data. Android backup or device transfer may copy app storage according to your device settings; manage those copies through Android settings. The app has no account synchronization service.

4. Advertising services

The app uses Google advertising services. Their SDK may collect or share device identifiers, IP address and approximate location inferred from it, app interactions and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and maintain security. The app does not supply its satellite coordinates or trip measurements to those services.

Advertising is blocked while a trip is running, while the vehicle is detected as moving or while HUD is open. A missing signal is not treated as evidence that the vehicle has stopped. Advertising is available only in eligible stopped parts of a session and is subject to local frequency limits.

See Google's Privacy Policy. Where required, Google presents a consent form before ad requests. Required advertising privacy choices can be reopened from Settings. You can manage or reset your advertising identifier in Android settings. Ad loading failure does not prevent using the app.

5. Optional feedback

Feedback opens a language-specific Tally form in your browser. The app passes its name and identifier, installed version and build, platform, device model, operating system, selected language and feedback entry point. Missing installed or device values can be blank. Coordinates, speed, GPS accuracy, trip measurements and saved preferences are not included.

Submitting feedback is optional. Tally stores the text you submit and any reply email you choose to provide, together with form metadata. Pando uses this information to investigate feedback, improve the app and reply when requested. A reply email is optional; please do not include sensitive information. Tally may process browser and connection information under its privacy policy.

6. Permissions

Foreground location is optional, but the app cannot show a measured speed without it. The app remains accessible when you deny permission. Internet, network-state and advertising identifier permissions support external services. Wake lock keeps the display awake during a trip or HUD session, and vibration provides brief start/stop cues.

The app does not need background location, a location foreground service, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, physical activity or notifications.

7. Retention and deletion

Local preferences and advertising counters stay until you clear app storage or uninstall. Temporary trip readings end with the app session. Device backups can remain separately. Uninstalling does not delete feedback already submitted to Tally or service records held by Google.

For questions or deletion of submitted feedback, use the feedback form and describe the submission sufficiently for us to find it. Feedback is retained as needed to investigate and respond. Google and Tally manage their service records under their own policies.

8. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
