1. Overview

Music Slow Downer ("the App") is a free Android practice player. It plays an audio file you already have on your device at 25% to 200% speed while keeping the original pitch, and it can loop a marked A–B section so you can repeat a passage. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit your audio files or personal information to our servers. It has no user accounts and no sign-up. Your files stay only on your device and are never uploaded, backed up, or sent anywhere by the App. Google services may process advertising and app-usage data as described in Section 4.

3. How the App Opens Your Files

The App does not request access to your music library. Instead, you pick a file through the Android system file picker (Storage Access Framework), which grants the App access to only the single file you chose.

• The chosen file is copied into the App's own private cache so it can be played back. That copy never leaves your device and is removed when the file is dropped from the recent list or when the App is uninstalled.
• The App remembers, on your device only, the file name, its length, the last speed you used and your A–B loop points, so the file reopens where you left off.
• The App declares no storage or media permissions: no READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, no READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, and no microphone access.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — for advertisements. The App shows a banner at the bottom of the screen, an app-open ad on a normal launch, and an occasional full-screen ad when you leave the player while playback is stopped. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase Analytics — for aggregate app usage and reliability measurement. It may process app interactions, diagnostics, approximate location inferred from network data, device information and identifiers. We do not send audio files, file names, playback speeds or loop points as custom analytics data. See the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

5. Permissions

The App requests only what it needs:

• Foreground service (media playback) and wake lock — to keep playing while the screen is off or while you use another app, and to show the lock-screen controls.
• Internet — to load advertisements and send aggregate analytics.

The App does not use or request access to your location, contacts, microphone, camera, photos, media library, or physical-activity sensors.

6. Data Storage

The App does not create user accounts or sync your audio files and playback settings to the cloud. Your audio files remain where you keep them. Uninstalling the App removes its cached copies, its local settings and any cached AdMob data stored on the device. Android backup is left enabled for this App, so a copy of that data may also exist in your Google account. Uninstalling does not delete that copy, and installing the App again can restore it. You can review or delete it in the backup settings of your Google account.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
