Privacy Policy
Metronome — Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Overview
Metronome is a free Android music practice tool developed by Pando. No account or subscription is required. Tempo calculation and beat playback run on your device. Google services process advertising and aggregate app usage data.
2. Local settings and playback
Your tempo, time signature, sound, vibration and language preferences are stored on this device. We do not operate a server that stores these settings or your practice history. The app plays built-in click sounds and optionally uses device vibration. It does not request microphone, camera, location or photo-library permissions and does not record audio.
3. Google services
The Google advertising SDK may process advertising identifiers, IP address (which can imply approximate location), app interactions and diagnostics to provide, measure and protect advertisements. Requests use non-personalized ads; your privacy choices can further limit processing. See the Google Privacy Policy. Where required, a privacy choice screen appears before advertisements are requested. You can reopen available privacy choices in Settings.
Google Firebase Analytics measures aggregate app use and reliability. It may process device information, identifiers, interactions and diagnostics. Generic recommendation impression/click events identify the source app, destination and placement; they do not contain your tempo, time signature, practice duration or saved preferences. See Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
4. Optional feedback and external links
Sending feedback opens a Tally form in your selected language. Tally receives the message, feedback category and any email address you choose to provide. Basic context may include app identifier, app name, version, build, platform, phone model, operating system, interface language and entry point. Tempo, practice duration, settings, recordings, location and unique device identifiers are not attached. Feedback and email are optional. See Tally’s Privacy Policy. Links to music practice tools open external websites or apps whose own policies apply.
5. Storage, retention and deletion
Uninstalling removes local app data. Android backup is enabled, so a copy of settings may exist in your Google account and can be restored after reinstalling. Uninstalling does not delete that backup; review or delete it in Google account backup settings. We do not provide account-based cloud sync. Feedback is generally retained for up to 24 months unless needed for an ongoing request or legal obligation. Request deletion using the form below; we aim to respond within 30 days. Google advertising and analytics retention follows Google’s policies.
6. Children and policy changes
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. We may update this policy; changes appear here with a revised date.
7. Contact
For privacy questions or feedback deletion, use the optional contact form. It remains available in your browser after uninstalling. Include only information needed to identify your request; email is optional.
