1. Overview
Park Pin ("the App") is a free Android app published by 강건한건강 ("we", "us"). It saves where you parked and helps you walk back to it. There is no account, no sign-up, and no app-operated cloud sync. Parking records are processed on the device. Google advertising services, optional feedback, external maps and Android backup have separate data flows described below. Features may vary with the installed app version.
2. Location
The App uses your device location for one purpose: to record the spot where you parked and to show the direction and distance back to it.
- Location is read only while the App is open and in the foreground. The App does not request background location access and cannot track you when it is closed.
- Saved coordinates are kept in the App’s private device storage and are not sent to us, advertising requests or feedback metadata. If you explicitly open a spot in a maps app, the coordinates are passed to that app; if no app handles the link, the App tries a Google Maps web URL in the browser with those same coordinates. Android backup may also include saved records depending on your device and account settings.
- “Found It!” clears the current spot and retains a history entry. Clearing history removes past records while preserving the current parked spot. Uninstalling removes local app data; backup copies are managed separately.
3. Camera and photos
You may optionally take a photo of your parking spot. If you do, the camera permission is requested at that moment, and the photo is written to the App's own private storage area.
- The App does not request access to your photo gallery or device storage. It cannot see photos taken with any other app.
- We do not receive your photos through app-operated uploads or feedback metadata. Photos for old history records can be removed by history cleanup; the current parked spot’s photo is preserved. Uninstalling removes local app files, but may leave backup copies.
4. Notifications
If you set a parking-meter reminder, the App asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on the device. No push service is involved and no server is contacted. Declining the permission only disables the reminder; everything else keeps working.
5. Information we collect
We operate no parking-record server. We do not receive your saved coordinates, photos, notes, timers or history through the App. Google’s advertising SDK may process data independently. If you choose to send feedback, we receive the message and optional reply email you enter through Tally; please do not include sensitive information.
6. Third-party services and advertising
The App uses Google’s mobile advertising SDK:
- Google advertising services — for advertising. The App shows (a) a banner on the home screen, (b) an app-open ad when you return to a saved spot, at most once a day and never on first launch, and (c) a full-screen ad after you tap "Found It!", with the first three trips exempt and a cool-down between showings. No ads are shown while you are saving a spot or while the compass screen is guiding you back.
For advertising, the App declares the Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) permission, and Google may collect the advertising identifier along with approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic/performance information and device identifiers to serve, measure and secure ads. Non-personalized requests do not mean that no data is processed. Where required, Google’s consent flow provides choices that can be reopened through the updated Android app’s privacy choices control, where that control is available in your installed version. Earlier releases may lack this control. The App always requests non-personalized ads, and it never passes your location, photos, or notes to the ad request. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising data notice. You can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings > Privacy > Ads on Android.
Opening a spot in maps passes its precise coordinates to a maps app when you tap the button. If that app cannot handle the link, the App tries a Google Maps HTTPS search URL in your browser containing the coordinates. The receiving app or Google Maps website’s privacy policy then applies. This version has no separately integrated Firebase Analytics SDK or remote push service. Google’s advertising SDK can still process diagnostics and measurement data.
7. Permissions
The App requests these permissions, and only these:
- Location (fine and coarse, foreground only) — to save and find your parking spot. Background location is not requested.
- Camera — optional, only if you choose to photograph your spot.
- Notifications — optional, only if you set a parking-meter reminder.
The App does not request access to photos and videos, files and storage, contacts, the microphone, or physical activity. Remaining manifest entries are normal permissions granted without a prompt (internet and network state for ads, the advertising ID, vibration and wake lock for the reminder).
8. Data storage and deletion
Saved spots, photos, notes, and history live in the App's private storage on your device. History older than 30 days is pruned when the App opens, along with its photos, except for the current parked spot. Clearing the history in the App deletes it immediately, and uninstalling the App removes everything it stored, including locally cached advertising data. Android backup is left enabled for this App, so a copy of that data may also exist in your Google account. Uninstalling does not delete that copy, and installing the App again can restore it. You can review or delete it in the backup settings of your Google account. The App provides no app-operated cloud backup. Android’s system backup is separate and may include preferences, coordinates, notes, database records and private photos, subject to Android exclusions and provider limits. Keep separate copies of information you need.
9. Accuracy
GPS accuracy depends on your surroundings. Inside multi-storey car parks or between tall buildings, the saved point can be off by tens of metres, and some devices do not report a compass heading at all. The App shows the accuracy at save time and warns you when the signal was weak. It is a memory aid, not a precision instrument.
10. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page together with a revised date.
12. Optional feedback
The updated Android app opens a shared Tally feedback form in your browser in the selected app language. The message is required; the feedback type and reply email are optional. Automatically attached context consists only of the app ID, displayed name, installed version, build, platform, device model, operating system, app language and entry location. Coordinates, photos, file paths, notes, timers, history and notification identifiers are not included. URL context can be edited and is not used for authentication.
Tally processes the information you submit and may also process browser/network information under its own policy. We use feedback for support, product improvement and replies when you provide an email address. Providing an email does not send an automatic reply. Do not include sensitive information in the message. Requests to access or delete feedback can be made through the same form, with enough context to locate the submission.
