1. Overview

Blur Censor ("the App") is a free Android app published by 강건한건강 ("we", "us"). It hides parts of a photo — faces, licence plates, addresses — before you share it. There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud. Apart from loading advertisements, the App does not send anything anywhere.

2. Your photos

Your photos never leave your device. Editing happens entirely on the phone, and the finished image is written either to your own gallery or handed to whichever app you pick from the share sheet. We have no server that could receive an image.

• The App requests no permissions at all. Photos come in through Android's own system picker, which hands over only the single image you tap. The App has no ability to browse, list, or read the rest of your gallery.
• Saving writes a new file into Pictures/Blur Censor. On Android 10 and newer an app may add its own image this way without a storage permission, which is why none is requested.
• The edited copy is written without the original's EXIF metadata, so location and camera details from the source photo are not carried into the file you share.

3. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We operate no server or database holding user data, and we cannot see your photos or what you censored in them.

4. Third-party services and advertising

The App uses one third-party service:

• Google AdMob — for advertising. The App shows a banner on the home and result screens, an app-open ad on a cold start, and a full-screen ad only after an export has finished, with the first export exempt and a cool-down between showings. There are no ads on the editing screen.
  For advertising, the App declares the Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) permission, and AdMob may collect the advertising identifier along with device and usage data to serve and measure ads. The App always requests non-personalized ads, and it never passes your photos or anything about them to the ad request. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising data notice. You can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings > Privacy > Ads on Android.

Sharing an image hands the file to whichever app you choose at that moment; that app's own privacy policy applies from then on. We use no analytics, no crash reporting, and no push service.

5. Permissions

Blur Censor requests no runtime permissions — not photos and videos, not files and storage, not camera, microphone, location, or contacts. The only entries in its manifest are normal permissions granted without a prompt: internet access and network state for ads, the advertising ID, and vibration.

6. How well does censoring work?

The App offers blur, mosaic, and a solid bar. Blur and mosaic alter pixels rather than removing them, and published research shows that lightly blurred content can sometimes be partially reconstructed. The App therefore uses strengths scaled to the image size and recommends the solid bar for text such as addresses, licence plates, and order numbers, because it replaces the pixels outright. We make no claim that blurred or pixelated areas are mathematically unrecoverable.

7. Data storage and deletion

The App keeps no library or history. A working copy of the exported image is written to the App's private cache and is removed by Android when space is needed; uninstalling the App removes it along with any cached AdMob data. Images you deliberately saved to your gallery stay there and are yours to delete.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page together with a revised date.
