1. Overview

RoomDraft (“the app”) is a free Android app published by Stronghealth. You draw your home’s floor plan by typing measured lengths, place doors, windows and furniture, and export the drawing to scale as a PDF or PNG. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours. The drawing, the arithmetic and the export all happen on your phone, so the app works with no signal. The only component that uses the network is the Google AdMob advertising SDK.

2. What stays on your device

The app writes four things to your phone’s local app storage: your floor plans (walls, doors, windows, furniture and their dimensions), an index of those plans with their names, your settings (metric or imperial, and A4 or Letter), and the bookkeeping that limits how often ads appear. Nothing else is stored.

We never receive any of it. We do not operate a server or a database that holds user data, and we do not know who you are or what your home looks like. An exported file goes only where you send it: the app hands it to Android’s share sheet and you choose the destination.

One thing worth being exact about: the app leaves Android’s own backup enabled, so the plans you draw are not lost when you change phone. That means Android may copy this local data to your Google account and restore it on a new device. That backup is between you and Google — it is controlled by your Google account settings and we never see it. Uninstalling the app removes the data from the device; the backup copy lives in your Google account, where you can delete it, and reinstalling the app may restore it. Turning backup off in Android’s settings stops further backups; it does not delete a copy that has already been made.

3. Advertising

The app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, the AdMob SDK collects and shares your device’s advertising ID and other device identifiers. This happens inside Google’s SDK; we never see the data and we do not combine it with anything else. Google’s handling of it is described in the Google Privacy & Terms. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads.

For transparency, this is the whole of it. There are three places an ad can appear:

• One banner, in a fixed strip of its own. It never sits on the drawing canvas and never covers the plan you are working on.
• A full-screen ad when you open the app, at most twice per calendar day.
• A full-screen ad after you export, shown only once the file exists and has been handed to you, on the way back to your plan list — never before the export and never while you are drawing. At most twice per calendar day.

Two further limits apply to both kinds of full-screen ad: they never appear on the day you install the app, and there is always at least three minutes between any two of them, whichever kind they are. So the most you can see in one calendar day is four full-screen ads, and only if you both open the app and export repeatedly across more than nine minutes. The counters are kept on your device in local time.

4. Permissions

The app never asks you for a permission. Not your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files or storage — there is no permission dialog anywhere in it. Exported files are written to the app’s own cache and shared through Android’s share sheet, which is why no storage permission is needed.

The app requests exactly eight entries in its manifest, all of them from the Android and advertising libraries it is built with, and none of them is a permission Android asks you to grant: INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (used only by the ad SDK), WAKE_LOCK, the Google advertising entries AD_ID and the three ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*, plus one internal AndroidX entry scoped to this app alone. The storage, vibration, foreground-service and “display over other apps” entries that ship with the default Android build template have been removed from this app.

5. What this app is not

RoomDraft draws what you measure. It does not survey your home, and it cannot check that the numbers you type are the numbers your walls actually are. The drawing is only as accurate as your tape measure. Every export carries a scale bar so you can confirm the scale for yourself.

6. Children

The app is a drawing tool for adults planning a home. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
